La Mare aux Fees is a three bedroom bed and breakfast in historic Huelgoat, a small town in the Finistére region of Brittany
The owner – Sheri Baggarley
The B&B is run by Sheri Baggarley, an American who has been living in Huelgoat for ten years. She loves the Breton way of life, the colourful local characters, relaxed pace of life and living close to the ancient forest.
La Mare aux Fées
La Mare aux Fées B&B takes its name from the mural in the living room depicting a pool in the heart of the forest where, according to legend the fairies of the forest gather to swim and play.
Breakfast & dinner
A continental breakfast of French bread, croissants, and pain–au–chocolat fresh from the local bakery, butter and jam, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, juice and coffee, tea or hot chocolate is served between 8.00 – 9.30am.
Sheri can also provide a 4–course evening meal on request for €15 per person. Wine and other alcoholic drinks are available at bar prices.
Parking
The main car park in Huelgoat is a couple of minutes' walk away, but guests can park outside the house or at the rear of the house, with access via the garden.
Miscellaneous information
Sheri has two friendly dogs and welcomes guests with dogs. There is a spacious shed, should you need to store your bicycle over night. Muddy boots are welcome and we offer a laundry service for a small fee.
